Missing Pets.....Don't give up hope...
We were delighted to hear today that one of the pet's listed in our missing pets section has been found.
The cats owner writes "I'm delighted to say that after three and a half months we found him alive and well about a mile from our house. He is now home."
Whether your pet has been missing a few days or as long as a year or more there is always hope that they will turn up, so keep putting up posters, checking with your local council, vets in your area and your local cat and dog home.

PAWSS need urgently a Volunteer Coordinator, Fund-raising coordinator and foster carers. ...
Life sets us many challenges…..especially when we least expect it. At this time we face new changes for PAWSS if it is to remain open as a charity.
Though we have a few volunteers involved, who do what they can when they have free time. PAWSS is in desperate need of Foster carers for all small rodents; including gerbils, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits.
Due to personal circumstances and existing animals in care, our main foster carers are no longer able to help as much as they have in the past.
Often foster carers are left with a lot of older animals to provide permanent care to and this has left our main carers having to close their doors.
Until we have more carers PAWSS can't offer to take any small animals into care.
As Chairperson I mainly coordinate the volunteers, and oversee the running of PAWSS. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing health condition, I am no longer able to do as much as I previously did.
To keep PAWSS running at the same capacity, as it has done over the past couple of years, I am seeking a friendly person who is willing to coordinate the volunteers, assist in setting up new volunteers and help with arranging volunteers for fundraising duties.
Fundraising is another area of great need for our future and we would also be looking for a friendly ‘people person’ who can organise our fundraising activities.
With all these areas in need of help, until these voluntary positions are filled we are simply not able to run PAWSS to its usual capacity.

Toulie still needs a new home...
Toulie, a lovely 6 and 1/2 year old Kelpie Cross Collie bitch, is looking for a new home.
She is a lovely dog who needs a supportive and understanding owner to help her become a part of an active family.
Kelpies as a breed, are very much a working dog and with Collie in the mix this is a dog that needs time, commitment and lots of work. Agility activities, long walks, open air and activities which use her brain and her energy are what this dog needs.
If you have an active home to offer Toulie or would like more information on her please get in touch

REHOMING REQUEST ......URGENT...
PAWSS were recently contacted by Aberdeen City Council, Social Work Department regarding a 1 year old, ginger, male cat who was living in an empty house following the death of his owner.
The owners family are unable to take this cat into their home and have to find him a new home. Originally they had only one week to find a home for the cat but they have managed to get an extension on the date when the property must be cleared.
Although this is good news it still means that this poor cat will be made totally homeless in less than 2 weeks. He is currently living in an empty house, with no owner and very little human contact.
If you can offer a home, a foster place or even a temporary home for a few weeks please please please get in touch

Thank You...
Thank you to everyone who came forward to offer Brock the spaniel a home. He has gone to a lovely couple.
In other good news the Westie has been rehomed along with several Robo hamsters, the 3 gerbils and April the hammy.
Animals still looking for homes are Harry the hairy hamster, Wicket & Wedge, two friendly chinchillas, Penny & Casper, two nice outdoor rabbits, Reggie & Roland, two young rats and a young ginger male cat only 1 year old.
We have, unfortunately, still got lots of older animals with health problems, age related problems and other conditions which mean they are unable to be rehomed.
Although some of our rehoming pages may not have any animals listed we do still have a lot of animals in care... read our blog over the coming weeks for their stories

Is this your cat????...
Lovely black and white cat, male, neutered, was handed to an animal loving couple by their local vet who had taken him in when he was involved in a road accident. Unfortunately the vets were unable to trace an owner and could no longer keep him in the surgery. Due to the road traffic accident he lost a back leg, but is slowly coming around to accepting this.
He is a very affectionate boy who is obviously used to being stroked and petted. He does not show any signs of aggression to humans which has convinced his carers that, at some point, he has had a loving home.
his carers would dearly love to keep him as he is really getting on with their other cats but he is terrified of their dog. His carers are sure that someone out there is missing him dearly and they would love to reunite them.
If this is your cat please contact his carers on 01542 888266.
