after so many years of this campaign how can anyone think that it is acceptable to leave their dog in a car on a hot day?? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highlands_and_islands/8126382.stm how many more poor dogs must suffer this???

Thanks Nykohla, It is concerning and even just leaving your dog for a couple of minutes is enough to cause distress. We urge all dog owners to never leave the dog in the car, and even tied up in the garden without access to shade, and water.

Also just to note: please if you see or know anyone who has guinea pigs and rabbits, advise not to leave them out for long especially without shade and water; saw a family today with a rabbit in a makeshift run, no water or shade..-they can also get heat stroke and die!
