Its a vicious circle, often in a home were domestic abuse is present, its not just the human that suffers its often the pet that gets physical abuse, often its too late and many cases of animals being killed are going unnoticed. This is mainly through fear of the perpertrator or of prosecution. Well one vet is willing to help, he wants to treat the animal without the fear of prosecution, this might not make sense, however, sometimes just seeing your pet being hurt can incourage the person to leave....if anything the animal doesn't suffer with its injury and treatment is given to aid in its life. Its a delicate subject and can see why the vet is willing to do this....
